Hourly Wage Rate: $36.53 Hours of Work: Will be shift work with weekly average hours paid of 48 hours/week
Job Summary:
The main function of the Production Operator in to provide coverage for all positions within the shift team, excluding the Material tester and Console operator, and also assist other shift members as required.
Essential Functions

• Perform all duties and responsibilities of shift positions (Mill Attendant, Kiln Helper, Crane, Tower Operator, and Fuel Attendant) as required
• Assist shift members as required
• Operate pelletizer and slag dryer as required
• Operate Lime injection system
• Load CKD dust truck as required
• Convey operational information during shift change
• They May be required to move raw materials when they are not required under normal classifications
• Housekeeping duties as assigned
• Other duties as assigned when not required under the normal classification

Qualifications

• Must have a valid \xe2\x80\x9cG\xe2\x80\x9d class driver\xe2\x80\x99s license
• Minimum completion of high school diploma
• Preferred Skill Trade (mechanical/electrical), desired Engineering Skill

Requirements

• Knowledge of all production processes
• Perform well in critical situations
• Diagnose equipment and process problems
• Qualify for use of cardox discharging safely and efficiently as required
• General knowledge of cement-making process
• Basic computer knowledge
• Good oral/written communication skills
• Operate mobile equipment

• Working outdoors and varied temperatures and weather conditions
• Working indoors in varied conditions (ie. hot, noisy, dusty)
• Effortless mobility through the production side of the plant
• Climbing stairs, ladders
• Physical ability to perform duties
• Working in confined spaces
• Working at heights

  Comply with OHSA and all of its applicable regulations
• Personal Protective equipment as prescribed
• Comply with CRH safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Report all incidents and near misses
• Report all safety hazards
• Follow Lockout/Tag-out procedures
• Emergency response plan awareness
• Port security awareness Environment and Quality ISO 9001 and 14001 compliance
• Report environmental and Safety concerns (dust, emissions, spills)
