Job Summary



The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of roofing projects, ensuring timely completion, quality standards, and adherence to safety regulations. This role involves managing crews, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining strong communication with clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities



Management:

Plan, schedule, and supervise roofing projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Track and submit employee time sheets.

Team Leadership:

Manage and motivate roofing crews, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Assign tasks and ensure proper resource allocation.

Quality Control:

Inspect work in progress and completed projects to ensure compliance with company standards, building codes, and client expectations.

Safety Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and MB Workplace Safety regulations on all job sites, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.

Material Coordination:

Collaborate with suppliers to procure materials, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery to job sites. Must be able to drive heavy duty trucks, pull and back up trailers.

Client Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during projects, addressing concerns and providing updates on progress.

Photos:

Take pictures and videos with smart phone and drone.

Budget Management:

Monitor project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maintain profitability and minimize waste.

Problem Solving:

Address and resolve issues that arise during projects, such as delays, weather challenges, or crew performance.

Reporting:

Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, crew performance, and safety compliance to senior management.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and elevate the quality of work.

Qualifications



Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in construction management, business, or a related field considered an asset but not required.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent project management and organizational skills. Proficient in understanding roofing specifications. Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety standards. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to use computer programs and apps.

Certifications:

CertainTeed certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to visit job sites, climb ladders, and occasionally lift up to 90 pounds.

Other:

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.

Working Conditions



Primarily field-based, with regular visits to job sites in various weather conditions. Some office work for planning, reporting, and meetings. Occasional travel within the region may be required.
