Our Windsor, Ontario location marks the exciting launch of our North American operations.
As a newly established site in a well-established global business, our Windsor team operates with a startup mindset, backed by the resources and stability of an international organization. We're looking for an experienced Production Manager who is hands-on, strategic, and ready to play a key role in building and leading our production operations in Canada.
Job Summary:
The Production Manager will be responsible for setting up and managing daily production operations in our new facility. You'll lead the development of production systems, ensure regulatory compliance, manage a growing team, and help establish a culture of operational excellence as we scale in the North American market.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and lead all production operations in the Windsor facility
Develop production plans, schedules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Ensure compliance with Health Canada, GMP, HACCP, and global quality standards
Collaborate with supply chain and logistics to manage materials and inventory
Hire, train, and manage production staff and day-to-day activities
Monitor and improve production efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Oversee equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Maintain accurate production records and report KPIs to leadership
Foster a safety-first culture in accordance with Canadian and global standards ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies
Support quality functions and actively participate with investigations related to deviations.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management)
5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in health, nutrition, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Experience launching or scaling production in a startup or new facility environment
Strong knowledge of Health Canada regulations, GMP, HACCP, and quality assurance practices
Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Hands-on and adaptable - comfortable building systems and processes from the ground up
Lean Manufacturing, Green Belt Certification would be considered an asset.
