What you'll do
It's an exciting moment to join our Brand team. We are continuing to grow and nurture our Small is Mighty brand platform, bringing it to life in ways that ignite imagination, deepen connection, and shift what's possible for child health.
In this newly created role as Production Manager, you'll be at the heart of delivering our creative work, bringing structure, flow, and clarity to a high-performing and high-volume, multi-disciplined team. You'll oversee creative production and workflow management across the department, ensuring we're delivering impactful work that's on time, to specification, and to scope. From capacity planning and production execution to asset management and vendor coordination, you'll be the key to keeping projects moving with a keen eye on the quality of work being delivered. You will help the team run efficiently and sustainably, ensuring the delicate balance of big picture focus with the details that matter.
Reporting to the Creative Director, you'll lead and manage the production process across our creative and marketing teams - playing a critical role in how we bring ideas to life, from concept through to execution.
More specifically, you will: Oversee department-wide workflow using Asana, ensuring seamless coordination and visibility across teams.
Lead creative capacity planning and production cycles to balance workload.
Manage creative intake--assessing requests, clarifying scope and ensuring alignment with team capacity and strategic priorities.
Ensure projects and creative assets are delivered on time, on brief, to specifications, and to scope.
Own project management processes and help shape best practices for how work gets done.
Manage and liaise with freelance contractors, from briefing to approvals, payments and documentation to final deliverables.
Coordinate and support production for video and photoshoots, from pre-production to delivery.
Manage trafficking and delivery of assets across channels and departments.
Maintain and oversee digital asset libraries, ensuring accurate tagging, cataloguing and updates.
Collaborate with vendors to secure quotes, confirm specs, and coordinate production deliverables serving as the key point of contact.
Proactively identify and remove barriers that may block the team's progress.
Promote cross-functional collaboration by ensuring teams have the context and information needed to move forward.
Champion team focus by proactively removing distractions, setting boundaries, and help safeguard time and energy for the priority work.

You are a proactive, detail-oriented production leader who can see both the big picture and the small steps required to get there. You're passionate about empowering creative teams to do their best work and understand how strong operational foundations can unleash incredible outcomes.
You bring a combination of strategic thinking, strong communication, and hands-on production and project management experience. You're tech-savvy and familiar with modern workflow tools, yet grounded in people-first practices. You enjoy building relationships, earning trust, and helping diverse teams succeed together.
In addition, you bring: A post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g., marketing, communications, business).
5+ years of experience in production, project management, creative operations or similar roles
Experience in at least one production discipline--such as print, video, or digital--and comfortable navigating the technical language required to collaborate effectively with a wide range of creative partners and vendors. Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn and expand knowledge across other production disciplines as needed.
Proven experience managing creative workflows, timelines, and resource allocation across teams.
High proficiency with project management tools like Asana (or similar platforms). Experience should include a level of setup, configuring or customization of tools tailoring it to the team's workflow.
Experience working with or managing creative teams (designers, writers, video producers, etc.).
Experience managing freelance contractors and external vendors, including cost negotiation and coordination.
Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration across stakeholders.
A calm, pragmatic approach to high-pressure situations and shifting priorities.
A passion for operational excellence and a drive to make things run smoothly and efficiently.

The hiring range for this position is between $81,770 and $91,000. At BCCHF, we are committed to ensuring that compensation is fair and equitable. Your placement in the salary range will be determined by your experience, relevant skills, and qualifications as they relate to this role.
