Overview




We are seeking a hands-on, data-driven

Production Manager - Capital Equipment Operations

to oversee our

Shredding Line

and

Plastics Float-Sink Line

at our Toronto facility. This role is critical in ensuring safety, operational excellence, equipment uptime, and production output across our most advanced and capital-intensive production assets.

Key Responsibilities



Daily Oversight

of production activities on the Shredding Line and Plastics Float-Sink System.

KPI Ownership

: Track, analyze, and report key production metrics including uptime, throughput, downtime, yield, and quality.

Process Improvement

: Identify and implement efficiency and reliability improvements to increase asset performance.

Collaboration

: Work closely with Maintenance, Supervisors, Health & Safety, Commodities and Engineering teams to resolve issues and optimize production.

Safety Leadership

: Champion health and safety practices, ensuring all work meets regulatory and internal standards.

Production Reporting

: Provide timely and accurate production reports to the VP of Operations and other stakeholders.

Operational Readiness

: Support commissioning of new equipment, trials, and upgrades on production lines.

Team Influence

: While not a direct people manager, influence frontline and supervisory staff to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Required Qualifications



5+ years of experience in a production or operations environment, preferably in manufacturing or recycling. Demonstrated success managing production assets, schedules, and KPIs. Familiarity with capital equipment, heavy machinery, production lines or automated production systems. Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset. Proficient with data tracking tools (Excel, Power BI, ERP/MES preferred).

Preferred



Post-secondary education in Engineering, Operations, or related field. Experience in environmental services, recycling, or materials processing is an asset. Lean or Six Sigma training is a plus.
