Your challenge!

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager\'s mission is to achieve the manufacturing objectives associated with his or her unit\'s business strategy by optimizing available resources, rigorously applying business processes and establishing an effective communication system. You therefore participate in the implementation of processes, practices and tools specific to your unit aimed at optimizing operational efficiency. You also build a mobilized and competent team and support their production efforts while nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and health and safety. As a result, you contribute to the achievement of your unit\'s strategic plan by positively influencing the adoption of healthy and safe behaviours, operating costs, performance and production capacity and quality.

Individual responsibilities

Accountable

Lead all areas of operations, including production, maintenance and logistics across the multiple locations;

Provide direction to a team of Supervisors and support staff. Manage, coach and engage staff based on the organization\'s values and business strategy;

Maximize manufacturing efficiency and lead continuous improvement efforts in his/her sector;

Participate in strategic planning process. Devise and achieve departmental objectives aligned with the unit\'s business strategy;

Manage operating costs and maximize the return on assets;

Accept full responsibility of the Health & Safety program and ensure that a safe working environment is provided for all employees;

Keep abreast of manufacturing best practices and promote innovation objectives;

Ensure support for business relationships and provide technical support when requested;

Promote Employee Empowerment by maintaining high employee morale and ensuring that all staff are accountable to the organization\'s success.

Experiences and strengths

Bachelor\'s degree in Operations Management or Other relevant fields College diploma in Operations Management or other relevant fields.

Previous experience in Operations Management of a manufacturing facility.
Experience with corrugated manufacturing is an asset, but not a requirement.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing practices and processes.
Sound understanding of occupational health and safety management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office as well as any other Production tracking systems or
ERP\'s.
Knowledge in lean manufacturing a plus
