Job Description

FabHR is looking for a Production Manager for one of its manufacturing clients based in Ottawa, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan Production Schedules

Determine what needs to be produced and when. Coordinate with sales, purchasing, and engineering to meet delivery deadlines. Ensure all orders are running on schedule.
Supervise Production Staff

Manage team leads, machine operators, and assemblers. Set daily or weekly goals and monitor progress.
Monitor Workflow & Efficiency

Ensures machines, tools, and people are being used effectively. Identify and fix production bottlenecks and delays. Balance workloads between welding, polishing, and assembly.
Maintain Quality Control

Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications. Work with management to correct defects or process issues.
Manage Resources

Oversee raw material levels and coordinate with purchasing to avoid shortages Schedule equipment maintenance and repairs.
Enforce Safety & Compliance

Maintain a safe workplace and ensure workers follow safety regulations. Conduct safety training and audits.
Continuous Improvement

Analyze production data and implement process improvements.
Reporting & Communication

Report key metrics (output, downtime, scrap, etc.) to upper management. Communicate priorities and changes to staff clearly and promptly.
