Production Manager - LiquidThe Production Manager manages and coordinates activities concerned with the production of company products. The Production Manager ensures consistent quality production of products through sustained management of hourly employees\' execution of standards and operating procedures to maximize production capacity and ensure achievement of all plant goals. Directly supervise shift supervisors to ensure timely quality production of products in a safe, clean environment. The Production Manager has a strong Commitment to food and employee safety and ensures compliance for the entire facility.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

  • Direct and manage operation for production and shipping.
  • Committed to providing a safe food product. Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirements.
  • Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality standards, develop budget and cost controls and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
  • Ensures products meet customer specification.
  • Coordinates activities of shipping and receiving.
  • Coordinates production activities with all other company functions to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machinery and equipment.
  • Complies reviews and analyzes production, operational reports and dates to determine causes of nonconformity with product specification, operating or production problems.
  • Consults with engineering and maintenance relative to modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality products. Revises production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems.
  • Collaborates with the Site Manager in the development of work instructions and training plans.
  • Develops and revises SOP\'s and observes worked to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Create and foster a work environment that promotes team work and accomplishment to maximize employee engagement.
  • Train, coach and develop supervisors - provide management depth and direction; evaluate and upgrade as needed through utilization of accountability systems.
  • Create a problem solving culture driven by facts, figures, and first hand observations.
  • Solicit and provide ideas for improvement to drive quality, safety, sanitation and profitability to ensure achievement of overall plant KPIs.
  • Implement procedures to eliminate waste, contamination and overruns, establish and monitor the labour and scrap budget.
  • Actively lead and support plant-wide safety program.
  • Ensure compliance to corporate policies, including quality / sanitation and safety.
  • Responsible for supervising the daily work activities of all direct reports and evaluating their performance, with respect to their assigned duties.
  • Take corrective actions when necessary in accordance with company policies, as well as complying with current Federal, Provincial and local legislation
  • Committed to providing a safe food product. Ability to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirements.
  • Perform all other related duties as required.
EDUCATION, LANGUAGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in business, engineering, agriculture or related area
  • minimum five years\' experience with production line management, in a manufacturing environment.
  • This position requires a highly motivated person with strong knowledge and experience in people management, production knowledge, operations flow.
  • Previous experience managing technical and non- technical employees, with proven track record in high intensity facilities.
  • Working knowledge of financial budgets.
  • Relate well with others. Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others, working to maintain constructive working relationships.
  • Strengths in communication, collaboration and employee engagement.
  • Certification in TPM/Lean Management/Six Sigma preferred.
  • Understanding of ERP/SAP a plus.

  • Must be able to freely move around entire facility.
  • Ability to work in and be exposed to heat.
