Job Description


Our client, a successful and growing manufacturing company located in Brampton, is seeking a Production Manager to join their expanding team. The Production Manager is responsible for all aspects of the shop production, numbers, efficiency, parts, inventory, tool requirements, repairs, maintenance and safety. The Production Manager is also responsible for the shop schedule and staffing to meet customer demands, efficiency and personnel development.Essential Job Functions and Duties:
- Manage production schedule to maintain workflow, month end delivery expectations, and meet client ETA\'s
- Supervise and guide production team member daily.
- Schedule production on accessible conversions based on: First in First out, technician capabilities, client urgency.
- Purchase all parts required for rear entry accessible conversions and maintain inventory levels to match current and expected production levels.
- Issue purchase orders, manage delivery dates, receive inventory.
- Responsible for and have an understand of all part numbers, BOM, and the production process.
- Maintain existing vendors and source new vendors as required; based on competitive price, exceptional quality, exceptional delivery, and exceptional support service.
- Collaborate with engineering on any new conversion parts.
- Arrange freight for incoming shipments as required and prepare customs documents as required for US inbound parts shipments.
- Responsible for customer service to dealers and end users
- Must develop solutions to overcome unplanned delays in production schedule and/or material delivery.
- Coordinate vehicle service / subcontract work with company partners such as the alignment shop, auto body and mechanics as needed.
- Oversee incoming vehicle inspection; report any vehicle damage received to dealer/client immediately; report damage to vehicle carrier if required.
- Maintain a clean and safe production area.
- Complete other duties as assigned.Position Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor\'s degree in operations, supply chain or another technical field preferred.
- 5+ years of manufacturing shop supervisory experience.
