On Being a Production Management Intern at Ubisoft Toronto

Working directly with the Cinematics team, the successful candidate is a strong communicator with a dedication to organization and accountability. You want to be part of a creative, dynamic, and innovative environment at Ubisoft Toronto, and come equipped with a fresh perspective and appreciation for coordination and meeting deadlines. You have experience working in large groups and are comfortable connecting with people.

You are familiar with agile workflows and will learn about supporting a video game production studio from a diverse and experienced team. You will contribute to creating and refining processes, and work with partners to help ensure our commitments meet agreed-upon deadlines and expectations.

Type of Position: Full-time, paid internship
Length of Internship: 4 months
Start Time: September 2023
Location: Hybrid (remote AND in-studio work)
Eligibility: This position is ONLY available for Ontario post-secondary students. Applicants cannot be graduated nor graduating BEFORE January 2024.

What you\'ll do as a Production Management Intern:

  • Work with the Cinematics team to help streamline workflows for content production, approvals, and publishing;
  • Supporting operations across the team (6 Production Managers; 3 client-facing and 3 internal-facing) to ensure that the various planning, communication and project organization tools are properly implemented and updated;
  • Coordinate with production leads and key stakeholders to ensure project tasks are on track, assets are accounted for, and blockers are cleared efficiently;
  • Contribute to regular team meetings by sharing relevant updates, taking notes, and following up on action items;
  • Be the example of a positive, professional, empathetic and result-oriented approach to communication and problem solving;
  • Contribute creative solutions to partners\' projects and/or implement suggestions from others;
  • Meet with production managers from other teams to gain insight from other facets of the studio;
  • Perform other related tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional presentation, organizational, time management and cross-department communication skills;
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management, with a focus on agile workflows;
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, and common project management tools such as Jira;
  • Has a growth mindset - open to learning a lot, taking direction, accepting feedback, and intentionally acts on it;
  • Self-disciplined and proactive approach to work, with strong attention to details;
  • Demonstrate creativity, originality, and resourcefulness when searching for solutions;
  • Brings a positive attitude and desire to work collaboratively with colleagues;
  • Relevant experience in a similar position, as a production coordinator or any other relevant experience considered an asset;
