Production Machine Operator

Position Overview

The Machine Operator's duties include running production line machinery and using computer software to ensure efficient, high-quality output of our products. This role also requires performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues if and when they arise.

Please note that we are looking to fill positions for for day and night shifts.

What You'll Do

Operate production line machinery, related computer software, and performs all duties according to established operating procedures Perform routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintains orderly work, storage areas and departments Ensure high-quality control with an attention to detail by making any necessary adjustments to maintain consistency Recognize and address or report any potential/detected safety, deterioration, repair needs, and maintenance needs to your Supervisor Function independently, as assigned, or as part of a team in completing orders as necessary. Perform other duties as required

What You Bring

Experience in a multiple wood products environment an asset Ability to lift and slide plywood sheets and to apply safe work practices on the job. Fork lift certified, or willing to become fork lift certified Demonstrated ability to consistently produce quality product under pressure situations and changing deadlines Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, interact well with employees in all departments with good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work overtime as required

Education

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent preferred but not required
