POSITION OVERVIEW
As a member of the Production Team, the Production Lead is responsible for leading all production efforts within the sign & woodshop departments. They will assist in leading a team of sign technicians, print operators and woodshop technician in effective and efficient production operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, the ideal candidate will be a team player who can work well under pressure in both team and individual environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, guide, train, and mentor production technicians
Assign and oversee work allocation
Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training new team members
Communicating with other departments regarding potential problems or delays impacting deadlines
Establish work schedules for operators and technicians
Review time sheets for accuracy and approval
Coordinate cleaning and maintenance of production machines (printers, cutters, laminators, etc.) and provide routine maintenance and minor repairs
Monitor signage print and application processes for quality, accuracy, and consistency
Complete printing and sign manufacturing processes when required
Establish good interdepartmental relationships to help balance conflicting priorities
Establish and review standard operating procedures, practices, and policies
Monitor and lead worksite safety and compliance within production
Provide progress reports to Production Manager
Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Working experience with SAP an asset
Experience leading small to medium-sized teams
Positive hardworking attitude
Work efficiently and effectively to meet short timelines
Handle precise calculations in measurements, conversions, and other amounts.
Experience with Google spreadsheets
Knowledge of provincial sign specifications in Western Canada is considered an asset
Experience with manufacturing/lean manufacturing an asset
HOURS OF WORK
The typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
