Production Labourer ( Cheese Making Room)

Production Labourers assist the Cheesemaker as required to complete; pre-operation sanitation procedures, the daily make of cheese and other associated tasks, and the post-operation sanitation procedures. This job is labour intensive in a fast paced, warm, humid production area.

Job Requirements

Must be currently living in the Kingston, Ontario Canada area.

Hours of work are 2:00 AM to 10:00 AM (approximately).

Days of work are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday ,Friday, and every other Sunday. Occasional overtime is required.

Must be punctual, dependable, and able to show up for work as scheduled.

Able to perform at a high level in a fast-paced, physically demanding, hot, humid environment.

Able to be flexible and responsive to changing production requirements.

Able to follow directions.

Able to read and comprehend Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other pertinent documents.

Able to work safely and abide by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).

Able to lift 25+ kgs on a regular basis.

Able to work as a team, and treat others with respect.

All required employment training must be completed within two (2) weeks of starting work at Wilton Cheese Factory.

Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes, but is not limited to, hair/beard net, slip-resistant boots, and gloves, in accordance with GMP guidelines.

Experience an asset, but not essential as all training is provided.

Basic computer literacy is an asset.

Must be eligible to work in Canada.
