Production Labour: Roles & Responsibilities

Reports To:

Manufacturing and Technical Director

Position Summary:

The Production Labourer is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the manufacturing of Seawise Innovative Packaging's corrugated products and Thermoloc solutions. This individual will assist with production tasks, contribute to product testing, and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in Production:

Work directly on the production line, assisting in the manufacturing, assembly, and packaging of Corrugated boxes and Thermoloc products.

Support Product Testing:

Aid the product development team by conducting routine tests on products, recording data, and reporting any inconsistencies or failures.

Maintain Quality Standards:

Follow established quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet company specifications. Identify and report any defects in materials or finished goods.

Material Handling:

Safely and efficiently handle raw materials, components, and finished products, including loading and unloading materials as required.

Operate Equipment:

Operate basic machinery and tools used in the production process, following all safety guidelines and operational procedures.

Contribute to a Safe Environment:

Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and hazards.

Collaborate with Team:

Work effectively with other production team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an asset. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Physical fitness and ability to lift and move materials as needed. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Valid class 5 drivers' licence Forklift training is an asset.

Hours of work and travel

This is a wage position with an hourly rate of $27.00 The standard workday is 8.5 hours, including a half-hour unpaid lunch break. Limited periodic travel may be required, based on business needs.
