About Us
Sheldon Creek Dairy is a family-owned dairy manufacturing facility producing high-quality farm-fresh dairy products. We operate in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where teamwork, accountability, and pride in production matter. We are looking for a Production Supervisor who is a doer--someone who leads from the floor, gets things done, and brings people along with them.
Position Overview
The Production Supervisor is a hands-on working leader responsible for keeping daily production running efficiently, on time, and to standard. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable running production lines, guiding staff, problem-solving on the fly, and holding the team accountable.
80% of the time you will be on the floor, anticipating issues, keeping production moving, and ensuring the team knows what's next at all times. 20% will be computer work.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Efficiency
Oversee daily production activities to ensure schedules are met on time and in full
Closely monitor production efficiencies, downtime, and labour use
Push production forward by keeping the team focused, on task, and moving to the next step without delays
Think ahead in the process to prevent bottlenecks, shortages, or idle time
Ensure products are produced safely, accurately, and to quality standards
Team Leadership
Lead by example with a strong "get it done" attitude
Build and motivate a productive, accountable team culture
Clearly communicate priorities, expectations, and next steps throughout the day
Redirect staff when needed to keep production on track
Train, coach, and support operators on equipment and processes
Foster entrepreneurial thinking--encouraging efficiency, ownership, and continuous improvement
Hands-On Production Support
Actively assist in running production lines as needed
Step in to troubleshoot issues, relieve bottlenecks, or support short staffing
Be mechanically aware and capable of identifying basic equipment issues
Work closely with management to improve systems, flow, and output
Safety & Standards
Ensure all SOPs, food safety, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient production environment
Lead by example in safety, cleanliness, and professionalism
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in food production or manufacturing (dairy experience an asset)
A hands-on doer who leads from the floor, not the sidelines
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort around production equipment
Natural team leader with the ability to motivate and hold people accountable
Organized thinker who plans ahead and anticipates challenges
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
Strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset
Why This Role Matters
