Owned by Maibec Inc (headquartered in Qu\xc3\xa9bec), Maibec CanExel is a trusted leader in prefinished siding, with a long history of manufacturing exterior siding that is designed to be exceptionally durable while maintaining its authentic beauty. Maibec CanExel has been in business for over 55 years and has a workforce of approximately 180 employees in our East River facility. Maibec CanExel is located in East River, Nova Scotia (just outside of Hubbards). The location is 1 minute off Exit 7 from Highway #103, making it an easy commute of approximately 30 minutes from Bayers Lake or Bridgewater. We are currently expanding our operations team. Production / Equipment Operators are an integral part of our team and are leaders in safe practices. Our starting rate of pay in this position is a minimum of 20.62/hr. After training, you can earn up to $24.40/hr by the end of your first year and up to $30.50/hr by the end of your second year. We also offer an additional $1.15/hr for shift premium when working on night shift. Successful candidates will be trained in various positions within our manufacturing facility including but not limited to:

• Operating vehicles & equipment

• Operating production line equipment

• Equipment cleaning and preventative maintenance

• Quality control

Requirements:

• Ability and desire to work varying shifts \xe2\x80\x93 8-hour shifts, 12-hour shifts, days, nights, weekends, holidays

• Experience working in an industrial environment would be considered an asset

• Forklift and/or heavy equipment operator experience would be considered an asset
