LORICA Equipment is an emerging textile manufacturing company based in Chilliwack, BC. We design and produce high performance apparel and technical equipment for a variety of professional industries. Our team is comprised of former Canadian military, manufacturing and sales professionals who take pride in producing quality equipment that meets our customers' requirements and exceeds their expectations.

LORICA is searching for a Production Cutting Operator to join our production team full-time in our facility in Chilliwack. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Cutting Operator is responsible for the operation of various production equipment to aid in the quality construction of highly technical products for law enforcement and military applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the operation of various production-related equipment including CNC laser fabric cutting machine, hot and cold knife cutting, and rotary cutters with a high degree of accuracy. Work to prep and process a variety of materials (textile fabrics, elastics, Velcro, tapes, trims, and hardware components) to be constructed by the sewing team. Perform routine machine/tool maintenance. Maintain a clean work environment. Work closely with manager to collaborate on best practices and find efficiencies in the production process. Other duties as assigned to contribute to the success of our production team.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree required. Experience with CNC laser cutting machines a big plus but if you are interested and willing to learn we will train so you are successful in the role. Ability to meet strict quality standards and deadlines. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines and goals. Team player able to interact in a positive, constructive manner with staff members on all levels within the company. Must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
