Position Overview

The Production Cooler Team Member is responsible for supporting all production cooler operations in a fast-paced floral warehouse serving wholesale customers. This role focuses on handling raw floral goods, hydrating, processing, and cleaning stems to prepare them for bouquet design, performing administrative inventory duties, and ensuring accurate order verification and fulfillment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in cooler environments for extended periods, collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

Product Receiving and Processing

Receive, unpack, and organize raw floral goods in the production cooler. Hydrate, process, and clean stems to prepare flowers for designing and bouquet assembly. Ensure all products are handled according to company standards to maintain freshness and quality. Remove damaged or wilted items and report quality concerns to the Manager.

Inventory and Administrative Duties

Use internal software systems to upload received goods into the POS system accurately. Track inventory movement in and out of the cooler, ensuring all products are accounted for. Manage shrinkage by writing off and tracking goods, maintaining accurate records of losses and adjustments. Assist with regular inventory audits and cycle counts as needed.

Order Verification and Fulfillment

Prepare and organize floral products for order fulfillment according to Production specifications and recipes. Pull and verify all recipe menu items for recipe orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with the production designer to find solutions for damaged or missing products, determining appropriate substitutions for menu recipes as needed. Work with the design and production team to ensure timely and accurate order processing.

Organization and Cleanliness

Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing production cooler environment. Ensure all flowers are clearly labeled and stored in appropriate sections for easy access. Assist in cleaning and maintaining cooler areas, shelving, and workstations.

Team Collaboration

Work closely with production, cooler, receiving, and sales teams to ensure smooth product flow. Support other warehouse tasks as needed, including order fulfillment and preparation for seasonal peaks.

Safety Responsibilities

Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE and using proper lifting techniques. Keep cooler areas free of hazards and report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods. Comfortable working in cooler environments (4C) for extended periods. Capable of handling physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Work Schedules

Sunday: 8:00AM to 4:30PM / 10:00AM to 6:30PM Monday-Friday: 6:00AM to 2:30PM / 7:00AM to 3:30PM / 8:00AM to 4:30PM

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality. Reliability and accountability in completing tasks and meeting deadlines. Previous experience in a warehouse, floral, or production environment is an asset but not required. Good organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal software systems for inventory management.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
