Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Cook to join our kitchen production team. In this role, you'll take the lead in preparing, cooking, and monitoring batches of soup and other food products, ensuring that every recipe meets Goodly's quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team environment, follows procedures with care, and takes pride in producing food that makes a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook soups and other food products according to recipes and production plans. Measure and weigh ingredients accurately using scales, meters, and standard kitchen tools. Operate kettles and other cooking equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and consistency to ensure quality and food safety. Record production data such as batch numbers, lot codes, and cooking details. Work collaboratively with the prep and packaging teams to ensure smooth production flow. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cooking area, including sanitizing equipment and surfaces. Support kitchen safety and participate in daily cleaning and shutdown tasks. Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Previous cooking or kitchen production experience required (commercial or large-batch cooking an asset). Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures consistently. Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs. Team-oriented, reliable, and punctual. Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain).
