Purpose of Position




The Production Chef works as part of a team to prepare food production to coordinate curriculum prepared by Culinary Arts Instructor and assists in food preparation for catering functions. This position works closely with students in food preparation and is responsible for the supervision of students and the Educational Assistants (Vocational/Culinary Arts).

Duties and Responsibilities




Are established by the School Principal within the parameters of the job profile.

Required Qualifications



Journeyman Red Seal Certificate. Commercial Cooking Certificate. Food Safe Accreditation. First Aid/CPR Certification. Demonstrated ability to follow standardized work methods and processes while working with children to support learning. Effective basic knowledge of computers and office software for use in tracking invoices, stock and purchases, email communication and internet searches. Effective moderate reading, mathematical and interpersonal/communication skills, as well as, basic writing skills. Class 5 Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications



Minimum two (2) years work experience in relevant area since obtaining Red Seal Chef Certification. WHMIS Training.
