As a Production Baker, you will be a vital part of our production kitchen team. This role is crucial in producing a broad range of high-volume baked goods while maintaining purebread's high standards. Our production team is passionate about the experience they create for our customers through their baking.
Responsibilities
Recipe Execution:
Prepare a wide variety of baked goods, including cakes, scones, brownies, cookies, filled savoury pastries, tarts, fruit purees, and cream fillings, in high volumes.
Daily Production Oversight:
Execute daily baking responsibilities with precision, ensuring that all recipes are followed accurately and consistently. Support team members by maintaining a fast-paced, coordinated workflow that meets production timelines.
Product Quality & Consistency:
Maintain exceptional standards for product appearance, texture, and taste. Monitor quality throughout each bake and assist in identifying any inconsistencies or areas for improvement.
Ingredient Management:
Assist with receiving, labeling, storing, and rotating ingredients in compliance with food safety standards. Communicate any shortages, overages, or concerns to the management team.
Equipment Use & Maintenance:
Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality, and promptly report any mechanical issues or concerns.
Food Safety & Cleanliness:
Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices. Maintain clean and organized workstations and shared kitchen areas in line with Purebread standards and regulatory guidelines.
Team Coordination & Support:
Work collaboratively within a high-volume production team, maintaining a positive and respectful kitchen environment. Support fellow bakers and team members to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
Performance Feedback
: Model consistency, punctuality, and professionalism. Support a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Being open to feedback from supervisors and management to further learn and grow.
Scheduling Awareness:
Maintain awareness of shift timing, prep lists, and daily goals. Communicate effectively with the management team to align efforts and meet targets during each shift.

Contribute to a friendly, supportive team atmosphere. Lead by example with a strong work ethic, willingness to help others, and a commitment to Purebread's values.
Experience
Previous kitchen/bakery experience is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
Understanding and adherence to recipes and protocols.
Ability to lift up to 20kg.
Legally permitted to work in Canada.
Flexible availability, including weekend shifts and holidays.
Valid FoodSafe Level 1 Certificate (preferred).

Hours
Shifts are a mix of 6:00am - 3:00pm and 9:00am to 6:00pm four days per week. Weekend shifts are required for this position.
