Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable
Part-Time Baker
to join our team. You'll help prepare and bake a variety of products, maintain high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, mix, shape, and bake breads, pastries, and/or cakes according to recipes and standards
Measure and scale ingredients accurately
Monitor proofing, baking, and cooling processes
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work area
Assist with inventory and ingredient prep
Follow food safety and workplace safety protocols
Requirements
Previous professional baking experience preferred (pastry or bread)
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable with early mornings, weekends, and standing for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Reliable transportation (bus schedule does NOT accommodate start time)

Candidate will play a vital role in our kitchen team at Stone Crock Inc, located in St. Jacobs. This position is essential for ensuring our customers enjoy delicious, home style baking that reflects our commitment to quality and service.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met.
Assist with food preparation and kitchen organization.
Provide excellent customer service during meal service.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth kitchen operation.
Handle food packaging and storage as required.
Decorate cakes and other baked goods as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
Strong cooking skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Experience with cake decorating is an asset but not mandatory.
Knowledge of baking techniques is preferred but not required.
