Job Description



Each cup of our coffee impacts families of smallholder coffee farmers and takes important steps towards their independence and freedom. This role is responsible for roasting each of our coffees bringing out the best flavours in each coffee. Ensuring quality from product arriving to orders going out to our clients and stakeholders. The successful candidate would also provide great customer service, fulfill orders and maintain our quality control program.

It's a pivotal role that will allow our company to deliver high quality products and services to our clients and stakeholders as we work towards ending predatory lending for coffee farmers and lifting them into independence and freedom!

As a roaster and part of the production team, you'll be part of our team that ensures a fantastic Road Coffee experience from inquiry, to purchase and delivery. You'll help move the company forward by ensuring we are executing fulfillment of orders in a timely manner.

The Job



The Production Assistant role is one that works under and reports directly to the Operations Manager. You will have responsibilities in the full production process, from inception to shipping. This includes assistanting the team in what needs to be done to fulfill the business needs. Learning the nuance between each of our roasts. Fulfilling production, filling client orders and providing client care.

Quality and Client Care is a top priority at Road Coffee; we highly value our relationships across the entire supply chain. This includes our coffee farmers, exporters/logistics, and suppliers all the way to our customers. Learning about our story, mission and the impact we make in the lives of coffee farmers will be at the center of what you do and help in your customer care journey.

Part of your role as a production team member is to help customers with any questions they may have, give customers information about products and services, take orders, and process special requests. By helping customers understand the product and answering questions about their subscriptions, our story or our impact with farmers - you will be sharing the key messaging of our company with every action you take.

Your goals:



To provide outstanding quality at each step of production Execute timely order fulfillment Ensure the efficient and smooth day-to-day tasks Assist operations team where needed

Essential duties include:



Preparing packaging materials for shipping Order fulfillment for coffee orders Communicating inventory levels with the Operations Manager Performing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and cleaning of production equipment Maintaining a positive empathetic and professional attitude toward customers and team members at all times Knowing our products inside and out so that you can answer questions
