PURPOSE OF JOB: Delta 9 Bio-Tech Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Level 2 Production Associate to join our Nursery/Vegetative Department. As a Winnipeg based, federally licensed producer of cannabis, Delta 9 is a Manitoba leader with a dynamic and "growing" work environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a labour position, ideally in a production environment and be seeking a more challenging experience with increased responsibility. Level 2 Production Associates will be trained in skill development and in various tasks that require a higher attention to detail and will be given opportunities to lead the team as available. The Level 2 Production Associate position is ideal for those interested in future leadership roles but need to further develop their skillset and experience. Level 2 Production Associates must be flexible with shiftwork, shift requirements dependent upon operational needs and may include weekend shifts. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude while representing the company, and contribute to a culture of teamwork, respect, and accountability within the department
  • Collaborate with the Team Lead and other team members to achieve daily/weekly departmental goals and targets
  • Support the training of new team members in the department processes and procedures, as directed by the Team Lead
  • Communicate any issues or challenges with the Team Lead in a timely manner
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Assist in the care, maintenance, and monitoring of cannabis plants in the vegetative stage, including but not limited to watering, pruning, cloning and transplanting
  • Transport cannabis plants between production environments in an efficient and sanitary manner.
  • Assist in the identification and management of common plant pests and diseases, including implementing integrated pest management (IPM) strategies
  • Complete all documents and records in a timely manner and in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDPs)
  • Report any deviations from SOPs, issues with plant health, equipment malfunctions, or environmental concerns promptly to the Team Lead or designated personnel
  • Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety within the department
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to a full face and/or half face respirator, face mask, gloves, hair nets/beard nets as required
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area, including sanitizing tools, work surfaces and disposing of plant waste in compliance with company protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Proficiency in documentation protocols
  • Manual dexterity and motor coordination; precise hand-eye coordination
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict operating procedures
  • Basic math skills, ability to perform and record calculations with accuracy
  • Skilled in precision work while maintaining consistency
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
  • Capable of adhering to and executing instructions accurately
  • Organizational abilities and adept time management skills
  • Proficient in performing repetitive tasks
  • Able to lift to 60 lbs.
  • Capacity to work in greenhouse conditions with high humidity and/or lower temperatures
  • Proficiency in acquiring and adjusting to new tasks in accordance with operational needs
ABILITIES AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass a criminal record check
  • Capacity to maintain focus and successfully execute repetitive and routine tasks
  • Knowledge of and experience working with cannabis an asset
  • Knowledge of cultivation techniques an asset
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other basic computer skills an asset
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptability to extended periods of standing or sitting, and proficient in ascending ladders and stairs
  • Comfortable with working for extended durations in confined spaces
  • MMAR/ACMPR experience an asset
