We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic individual for our Production Associate role, designed to give you a holistic understanding of our legal cannabis operation.
Position Overview:
The Production Associate will work closely with the Sales and Demand Manager and will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
Packaging:
Accurately weighing, sorting, and packaging dried cannabis flower and pre-rolls according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Labeling and sealing finished product with care and precision
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the packaging room in compliance with Health Canada regulations
Following all Good Production Practices (GPP) and Quality Assurance (QA) standards at all times
Supporting in daily packaging tasks to ensure production targets and timelines are met
Performing inventory counts and reporting material usage accurately
Completing all required documentation and logs clearly and correctly
Assisting in preparing packaging materials and maintaining non-cannabis inventory supplies
Operating basic equipment (e.g., scales, sealers) and ensuring proper function and calibration
Shipping:
Prepare and process shipments for distribution, ensuring timely and correct dispatch.
Book and schedule shipments with carriers (Canada Post, Purolator, freight, etc.) based on order size, deadlines, and cost efficiency.
Coordinate with vendors, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
Generate and manage shipping documentation including labels, BOLs, and customs paperwork as needed.
Track shipments and follow up on any delays, damages, or delivery issues.
Sanitation:
Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Follow all sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment.
Inventory Management:
Assist with inventory tracking and control, including conducting stock counts and organizing supplies.
Support inventory management efforts to ensure accurate and efficient stock levels.
Cultivation Support:
Contribute to various cultivation tasks, including plant care and facility maintenance, as needed.
Assist with operational tasks in the cultivation area to support overall productivity.
Other Duties:
Facility maintenance if/when needed
Perform additional tasks and support various operational functions as assigned.
Adapt to changing priorities and requirements to assist with overall team success.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a packaging, production, or warehouse setting is considered an asset
Experience working with cannabis or in a regulated industry is an asset but not required
Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
Able to follow SOPs and instructions closely
Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 lbs
Familiarity with basic computer tools such as Excel and inventory software is an asset
