seeking a 3-month contract position for a Production Associate
to work out of our
Acton Ontario facility.
Candidates must be able to follow standard operating procedures. Quality checks will be required to ensure the product is of high quality and meets specifications. Attention to detail and the ability to identify issues are essential for detecting errors and making necessary corrections. This position does not require prior knowledge of the machinery; training will be provided.
About the role:
Reporting to the Production Team Leader, the
Production Associate
is responsible for completing various roles in the manufacturing process including filling orders accurately and efficiently, attending production machinery / equipment, etc. This individual is also responsible for product preparation, finishing, quality assurance, and other duties as required that provide support to the Production Team. The morning shift is currently scheduled as
7:00am - 3:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7am - 3:00pm on Fridays.
Location: 36 Vimy Street Acton ON
Responsibilities:
Support various aspects of production and warehouse work including but not limited to packing and processing orders, picking and verifying orders, load and unload trucks, utilize packaging machine for individual packaging, assist with inventory counts, etc.
Operate machinery and equipment in compliance with company safety rules and regulations.
Configure machinery to operate safely according to work orders, specifications and quality requirements. Update production records.
Responsible for general upkeep of each workstation and working in a safe manner, complying with safety and procedural regulations.
Conduct necessary checks on the product to ensure quality.
Must be willing to be crossed trained in all aspects of production work, including batching chemicals for the glove dipping process, cleaning totes, etc. to support with vacation coverage.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a manufacturing / distribution environment is preferred; on the job training will be provided
High school Diploma / GED
Good written and verbal communication skills
Capable of performing detailed work and comfortable with the variety of physical demands including long periods of standing
