We are now hiring for a full-time Production Assistant at our Surrey production facility. This is a full-time role, requiring 40 hours a week, from Monday to Friday. Wage is negotiable based on experience. The primary role of the Production Assistant is to support of daily production needs through close collaboration with Plant Manager, Supervisors and Production Planner. They will assist our procurement team with preparation of raw material purchase orders and manage raw material inventories to support a fast-moving manufacturing environment WHAT WE OFFER

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Issue and close production batch cards and manage the related documentation at Surrey and Calgary locations, ensuring that production processes are well-documented and controlled
  • Produce variance reports and analyze the discrepancies between expected and actual production outcomes, to flag areas for improvement and cost control
  • Maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM), the list of components and materials required for the production process
  • Manage monthly / quarterly cycle count consolidations and adjustments for key raw materials
  • Provide support for procurement tasks when needed, ensuring continuity in the procurement process
  • Participate in planning and scheduling of production to identify sourcing and procurement requirements
  • Provide production team updates on material shortages, lead time changes and deliveries
  • Maintain accuracy of relevant data in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Close off month-end reports
  • Monitor on-time inbound delivery, ensuring adherence to vendor performance standards and working to improve as necessary
  • Issue Inter-Branch Transfers (IBTs) and manage material transfers between offsite warehouses and plant; adjust for variances and discrepancies
  • Issue and maintain manual Purchase Orders (Pos) for outside contractors
  • Provide data entry and support for year-end inventory
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education considered an asset
  • 2 years previous work experience in similar roles required
  • Industry experience, or familiarity with industry products and seasonal trends
  • Working experience with MS Office, including MS Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent understanding of Cloverdale Paint\xe2\x80\x99s ERP system and an aptitude for working through ERP issues
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to work independently
  • Detail oriented and disciplined with strong analytical, mathematical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet commitments on-time under a moderate level of pressure
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust workload based on priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft D365 a strong asset
