The Role

We're seeking a reliable, physically capable Production Assistant to support our end-to-end mushroom processing. You'll be hands-on in transforming raw organic mushrooms into finished products, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to our quality protocols. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process Raw Materials: Safely chop, clean, and prepare organic medicinal mushrooms for further processing. Operate Equipment: Run dehydration, milling, and packaging machinery with precision. Quality Control: Inspect products at all stages for consistency, purity, and compliance with standards. Packaging: Weigh, fill, seal, and label finished products (e.g., powders, capsules, tinctures). Sanitation: Maintain a sterile workspace; clean tools, equipment, and production areas daily. Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA guidelines, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and company protocols. Team Support: Collaborate with the production team to meet daily output goals. Inventory: Assist in tracking raw materials and finished goods.

Physical Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Must be able to consistently lift, carry, and move 50+ lbs (e.g., sacks of mushrooms, bulk ingredients, equipment). Stand for 8+ hours, perform repetitive tasks, bend, and reach. Comfortable working in varying temperatures (e.g., cool drying rooms, warm production areas).

Qualifications

Experience: Prior work in production, manufacturing, agriculture, food processing, or warehousing preferred (training provided for the right candidate) Strength & Stamina: Ability to meet the 50-lb lifting requirement and perform physical tasks. Attention to Detail: Critical for quality control and precise measurements. Reliability: Punctual, consistent, and able to follow SOPs meticulously. Safety-First Mindset: Understands the importance of PPE (gloves, masks, etc.) and sanitation. Team Player: Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues. Basic Math Skills: For weighing, measuring, and inventory tasks.

Nice-to-Haves

Interest in herbalism, mycology, or natural wellness products. Experience in GMP, FDA-regulated, or organic production environments.
