Position Overview:
The Production Assistant of Engine Test provides general labour and assistance to production personnel in the area. The self-motivated candidate will complete job tasks as assigned with minimum supervision. Must maintain production area organization and cleanliness in compliance with Contamination Control guidelines and 5S standards as well as complete other related tasks in support of production as they arise.
:Pick up and deliver parts and products to/from various departments Assist Test Technicians with moving engines/components within the department, utilizing crane and powered mobile equip Coordinate delivery/retrieval of shop tools and equipment that are due for calibration and/or inspection Main contributor to various cleaning duties supporting the 5S initiatives pertaining to contamination control within the area Other duties as assigned by Team Leaders and/or Production Manager

Qualifications:High school diploma General labour experience Experience in a heavy-duty equipment facility is preferred Crane/rigging as well as Powerjack/Forklift experience is preferred Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively Must be a team player with strong communication and organizational skills Must have basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a safe manner and comply in all aspects of the organizations policies and procedures

Note:This posting is for a static day shift; Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement Applicants must apply with either an updated Professional Profile on Workday or attached resume to be considered Will require successful completion of drug and alcohol testing, a criminal background check, and a medical assessment Hourly Rate: $24.40 - $25.46 / Hour
