Job Description

Job Summary: The Detector/Contamination Monitor Assembler will be required to perform tasks involving physical labor and will be required to operate a variety of tools. Responsibilities include connecting sub-assemblies and components together to configure a fully completed product, inspecting, testing, debugging and preparing items for shipment. The Detector/Contamination Monitor Assembler will be responsible for the efficient production of products according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies. Core Duties/Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Mechanically assemble components for contamination monitors, computers and detectors. \xc2\xb7 Ability to test various components using computer programs. \xc2\xb7 Ability to understand block diagrams and drawings. \xc2\xb7 Some cable assembly and soldering. \xc2\xb7 Some brazing skills as required. \xc2\xb7 Ability to perform in process assembly inspections. \xc2\xb7 Monitor work quality to ensure functionality. \xc2\xb7 Ensure that caution is exercised when using chemicals \xe2\x80\x93 follow all SDS. \xc2\xb7 Maintain a safe work environment. \xc2\xb7 Perform other duties as assigned. Skill/Knowledge & Other Requirements: \xc2\xb7 \xc2\xb7 High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. \xc2\xb7 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing environment. \xc2\xb7 Responsible for maintaining a clean work area in a safe litter-free condition. \xc2\xb7 Ability to read, write and speak English. \xc2\xb7 Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work in a team environment and independently. \xc2\xb7 Ability to understand and follow instructions based on manuals, drawings, blue prints, diagrams and schematics. \xc2\xb7 Ability of perform testing on the contamination monitors and detectors based on test procedures. \xc2\xb7 Strong hand-eye coordination, speed and accuracy are essential to operate equipment safely and efficiently in order to maximize production and minimize waste. \xc2\xb7 Knowledgeable in proper safety standards and procedures and be proficient in the safe operation of various gases, hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, dial calliper, etc. Physical Requirements: \xc2\xb7 Physical movements include lifting, standing, walking, crouching, kneeling and bending around equipment, pushing and pulling equipment. \xc2\xb7 Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently. \xc2\xb7 Tedious and repetitious activities and movements. \xc2\xb7 Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required such as safety shoes and safety glasses.
