Responsibilities
Build high-quality roof and floor trusses from blueprints and specs.
Operate tools and machinery like saws, nail guns, and presses.
Perform quality checks on materials and finished trusses.
Collaborate with the team to meet daily production targets.
Load, unload, and organize materials to maintain workflow.
Strictly follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace.
Be adaptable and willing to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years of experience in truss assembly, framing, or carpentry
Forklift certification is a strong asset
Proficient with hand and power tools (saws, nail guns, drills)
Able to read blueprints and use tape measures accurately
Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation
Able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for full shifts
Must have steel-toe boots and a hi-vis vest
Able to pass a criminal record check
Able to provide 2-3 professional references
Able to work either 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM or 1:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday to Thursday
Able to start immediately (next business day)
Employment Details
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, either 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM or 1:30 PM - 12:00 AM
Location: Rocky View County, Alberta (area near Costco Balzac)
Type: Contract
Hours: 44 hours per week
Compensation: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM shift: $23.00/hour (no shift premium) and 1:30 PM - 12:00 AM shift: $24.00/hour (with shift premium)
Additional Info: Possibility of extension; overtime available
