Job Overview


The Inventory Controller plays a critical role in managing and overseeing inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing excess. The primary responsibility of this position is to pick and dehydrate materials for production needs in a timely manner, verify the finished goods after the production Work Order is complete and put away finished goods.

Your secondary responsibility is the Second-in-Command to the Production lead (2IC), which involves ensuring that the production team meets their KPIs (work orders completed in time) and completing maintenance on the warehouse equipment.

Skills & Qualifications:



Experience with an ERP system is preferred Strong math skills and attention to detail Ability to deal with strong odours and high temperatures. The job requires being on your feet 8 hours/day. Preference will be given to candidates with experience with forklifts, pallet stackers and other warehouse equipment. Ability to lead with a positive attitude, but hold staff responsible to the KPIs as well. G driver's license is required. Smartphone for operation of the internal communication system is required.

Responsibilities:



Use motorized lifting equipment safely and efficiently as trained.

Maintain set production KPI's to ensure smooth production flow.

Maintaining an extremely clean work environment, free of clutter, bugs and grime.

Provide weekly insight and recommendations for production flow improvements to the supervisor.

Work independently, and quickly to prepare product for improved production flow.

Use fishbowl go to pick and put away products.

Accurately weigh, record and communicate work orders.

Operate and maintain commercial drying machines effectively and efficiently.

Ensure freezers are maintained and always running at designated temperatures.

Maintaining extremely detailed records for quality control.

Conduct Quality Control on all products that flow through your workspace.

Only operate machinery and equipment used in the production process as trained.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production guidelines to ensure safe, accurate and efficient production.

Measure and weigh ingredients accurately, ensuring the proper formulation and consistency.

Monitor and control the process to achieve desired product quality and consistency.

Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on finished products, identifying and reporting any defects or inconsistencies immediately.

Assist in tracking inventory of any raw materials, work in progress and finished goods.

Package and label products according to specified requirements, ensuring proper packaging, sealing and accurate labeling.

Load and unload materials, ingredients, and finished products using appropriate handling techniques and equipment.

Clean, inspect and maintain production equipment, work areas, and tools to ensure a safe and sanitary working environment.

Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling practices.

Assist in inventory management by accurately recording production data, material usage, and product weights or counts.

Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth production flow and timely completion of tasks.

Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues to the supervisor immediately.

Conduct daily inspections and complete documentation on lifting devises as required.

Flexibility to adapt to changing production demands and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Reduce noise levels as much as possible to ensure a safe collaborative work place.

Ensure lifting /communication devices are charged and ready for use each work day.

Accurately record hours worked and additional production data on travelers/work order sheets.

Work each day to improve your performance, record and prove progress.

Follow company policies and procedures regarding workplace conduct, attendance, and punctuality utilizing the assigned software.

$20.00 -$23.00
