Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada's first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion and are looking to expand our IT team with the addition of a Product Owner. The Product Owner will coordinate the activities of software developers who design and maintain the core software (both front-end and back-end) behind an interactive human-scale gaming facility. This will involve prioritizing all projects with software developers, game designers, graphic designers, and other colleagues.

The Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the planning of product releases and set expectations for delivery of new features and functionality Manage, plan, and coordinate activities of the development team to ensure the sprint progresses on schedule Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for all Activate software products Define product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities Confer with the development team to provide direction and to resolve problems Keep the Director, Software informed on delivery status and keep a healthy roadmap for the development team Mitigate roadblocks impacting completion of release/sprint goals Provide feedback on works-in-progress and accept or reject final products Act as the voice of our players, understanding customer feedback and needs

The Qualifications:

Trades certificate or 2-year diploma or unrelated bachelor's degree 3-5 years in a related field Experience with Agile methodology and tools, including JIRA Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and leadership skills Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies
