Position summary:



Assist information technology leadership to drive ongoing improvements and stability to the financial and customer relationship management products to increase business performance and member experience. The Product Owner will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring that the financial product, customer relationship management product and related integrations deliver measurable value, efficiency, and scalability for the organization. This is achieved through leading and managing vendor relationships and focusing on the ongoing quality of the products released through planning and quality assurance.

NOTE: This role is a temporary, full-time position for a 16-month contract to cover a maternity leave.



Key responsibilities:



Assumes the role of primary GVR lead, providing direction for the financial and customer relationship management products and developing and maintaining the vendor relationships.

Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team

Gather requirements, manage expectations, prioritize requests for improvement from business areas and communicate product progress transparently

Provides direction and oversight for the GVR team in testing and quality control monitoring for product enhancements and upgrades.

Makes recommendations for improvement of applications to programmers and software developers or engineers.

Prepares and delivers reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in these systems and projects.

Manages the upgrade schedule and coordinates GVR's response to upcoming changes. This includes coordinating testing and monitoring the quality of product enhancements and system upgrades (monthly and biannual Wave releases)

Communicates updates and improvements to managers and staff.

Ensures proper tracking of issues and performance of the financial and customer relationship management products and drives the appropriate remediation.

Monitors, reports, and assesses departments' satisfaction with the financial and customer relationship management products and makes recommendations to improve user experience.

Provides expertise and direction as GVR's representative in joint meetings with technical staff and vendors to plan, implement, document, and communicate changes, upgrades, and improvements to the financial and customer relationship management platforms.

Lead and manage IT projects

o Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories, define acceptance criteria, and ensure timely delivery of high-value features

o Ensure high-value features are delivered in alignment with strategic objectives

o Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning and demos)

o Monitor and report on project progress, identify risks and escalate issues where necessary

o Coordinate UAT, training, adoption activities and Go-Live

Qualifications, skills, and experience:



Bachelor's degree computer science, or a related field

3-5 years of experience in product ownership, IT or software development.

Excellent vendor management and relationship skills.

Proficiency working with Business Central and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Prior experience working with an Agile Scrum Methodology and backlog management tools.

Proficiency in working with Azure DevOps to measure metrics, such as Velocity, Burn Down.

Experience with other financial software (SaaS) designed for small and mid-sized businesses would be an advantage.

Ability to translate complex business needs into requirements.

Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.

Proficiency in user acceptance testing protocols.

Experience in project coordination and management.

Excellent communication skills (speaking and writing).

Due to nature of the role, it may require working outside of standard business hours (9:00am-5:00pm).

Hybrid working environment, with a minimum of two days in the office per week.

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the range of pay. Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
