Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree or MBA and/or product certificate or relevant work experince
  • 10+ years relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Agile related Delivery Experience.
  • Ability to effectively work in ambiguous and undefined environment.
  • Complete work autonomously as a senior member of the product family
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience considered an asset
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience operating in scaled agile delivery considered an asset
  • Strong leadership, decision making and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Deep understanding of P&C insurance products and the regulatory environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing P&C insurance products from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.

Job Details

We are seeking a Product Owner with a strong background in Property and Casualty Insurance. The successful candidate will work closely with the API and Batches Product Group, The GI and CC Journey PGOs and other Servicing Platform PGO, PGTL and Feature POs . You will be responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering a set of high-priority outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner, Contribute and Consult in supporting the delivery of a product vision.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap for the API and Batches Product Group that aligns with the company\'s strategic objectives and customer needs.
  • Create, maintain and communicate regularly product delivery roadmap with defined Minimum Marketable Features or Minimum Viable Products and release cadence.
  • Identify and Define product features/epics based on market research, customer feedback, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product, underwriting, claims, SBI, to deliver a high-quality product that meets the needs of our customers.
  • Work closely with the technology team to design items, prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that features/epics are delivered on time and in scope of the established product vision.
  • Develop product strategy and participate in proof of concepts to identify new opportunities and improve the efficiency of our product development process.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and consultation in the development of Business and Journey roadmap, ideation and business casing.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to pod team members, helping them to develop their skills and achieve their career goals.
Accountabilities:
  • Ensure that multiple PODs in the Product Group are delivering value to the organization through the delivery of customer focused increments
  • Align with other Product Owners to follow a product vision, creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog, managing delivery blockers, continuously assessing customer feedback
  • Consider and deploy tactics to always understand how to maximize value, assessing how the product or delivery process can be continuously improved, create a positive work environment
  • Thoroughly understand and ensure that work embodies the Agile Principles of transparent collaboration and engagement.
  • Act as delegate of the Product Group Owner and participate in any orchestration and prioritization conversation.
  • Enable Product Owner growth by encouraging colleague development to achieve career and business objectives, ensuring timely feedback, motivating appreciation and recognition to all colleagues
  • Foster an environment that promotes sharing of knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among the team; ensure timely management and escalation of issues and create opportunities to collaborate with other functions and teams
  • Develop multi-year short term and long-term roadmaps/plans for API and Batches Product Group
