About the role




The Operations and Planning national team is highly dynamic and at the center of IFC business lines. The mandate of the group is to provide a strong liaison between IFC IT teams and the business stakeholders. The project is national in scope and cover both belairdirect and Intact.

Your Role

We are currently looking for a Product Owner. As a Product Owner you will be responsible to guide an IFC agile team that aims to create and support a national Billing platform ensuring accurate & secure client data integration across several applications in the IFC ecosystem while meeting the Business operation needs.

This position is a national fulltime permanent opportunity.

Reporting to the Director of Operations and Planning, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary agile team
  • Continue to build the product vision and participate in building the roadmap
  • Work closely with various stakeholders and managers to gather requirements
  • Refine user stories, maintain and prioritize the product backlog creating value for the company, agents and brokers
  • Lead planning and demo sessions and participate in agile ceremonies (retrospectives, refinements, etc.)
  • Ensure products adhere to data integrity guidelines and industry standards
  • Ensure the product delivery is aligned with our roadmap as well as the roadmaps of other teams which we support as the backend client database
  • Continuously improve and adjust product roadmaps through feedback from users and performance measure indicators
  • Act as an expert in product development and innovation




Qualifications




What you bring to the table:
  • Post Secondary Education (degree/diploma) preferably Certified Product Owner
  • 3+ years experience in product creation and delivery, team coordination or project management
  • Experienced with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Knowledge of Contact Billing, Accounts Receivable, Web (Bundle, Self-Serve, etc.) and Contact PL
  • Strong presentation development and skills
  • Ability to deliver impactful presentations in a clear and well-structured manner
  • Exceptional communication skills and workshop management
  • Aptitude for understanding complex technical requirements
  • Bilingual (asset)

  • Proven skills in prioritization, time management and project planning
  • Well versed in the animation of scrums meetings and planning sessions
