The Product Manager will be responsible for selecting and optimizing the solutions required to deliver a portion of the interconnected strategy.
The Product Manager will be a key contributor in helping to define, launch, and operate our online experiences, working with the senior leaders of the eCommerce team, the Product Manager will help develop the long-term product vision, as well as oversee the execution of the product roadmap. The successful candidate will advance the The Home Depot's distinctive brand position and improve the customer experience, within our overall multi-channel approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Roadmap Planning
Monitors competitive landscape to recommend the best-in-class experiences and solutions.
Identify goals, KPIs, and insights in partnership with stakeholders to determine product value.
Translates business goals and end user needs into product strategy; communicates direction and product priorities to the development team, matrixed teams, and third-party partners.
Communicates and evangelizes the product goals, initiatives in pipeline, impact on business, customer and brand to stakeholders and The Home Depot Canada leadership.
Work closely with the Web Analytics and Customer Insights team to understand market research and customer attitudes as it pertains to the digital landscape.
Establishes a partnership with respective US product teams and meets periodically to share/align roadmaps, solutions and technology direction.
Delivery Management and Execution
Develops, maintains, and oversees the execution of a short and long-term product roadmap.
Manages and prioritizes the product backlog based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
Continuously measures, analyzes, and improves the performance of website features against stated business needs.
Makes trade-off decisions to balance scope, time, and quality while managing stakeholder expectations.
Collaborates with functional groups within the Canadian division to translate customer and business needs into detailed product requirements and specifications.
Provides clear and concise project artifacts (e.g., user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, process maps, business plans, etc.).
Ensures that the development team understands the requirements and the intended user experience.
Participates in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Leads and supports product rollout, process definition, and training documentation (change management)
People, Team, and Stakeholder Management
Collaborates with development, design, and business stakeholders to ensure that the product is developed and delivered successfully.
Partners with web IT to manage the ongoing implementation of website features to ensure project milestones are met, as well as assess project risks, dependencies, and resource requirements.
Partners with Procurement to manage and negotiate new vendor contracts and renewals.
Understands all product costs/revenue potential and recommends changes in business model or pricing to Director.
Facilitates communication and coordination across different teams to resolve any issues that may arise.
Communicates effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed about product progress, changes, and plans.
Manages directs reports on deliverables, (project and product) activities and talent development.
Actively participate in talent acquisition & retention activities, and mentor & coach individuals in immediate and adjacent teams.
Guides team members in strategy, alignment, analysis, prioritization, and execution of tasks
Fosters collaboration with immediate team members (Technology, User Experience, Business functions etc.) to drive value and identify and resolve impediments.
Advocates for the end user and stakeholder by becoming associated with the product, empathizing with, and understanding user needs.

Minimum Education:
University/College degree in a related area of study, or equivalent experience
Minimum Years of Work Experience:
3+ years' experience in the product management field or with an ecommerce or technology-based company
Online retail experience is an asset
Minimum Leadership Experience:
Previous people management experience is an asset
Certifications:
Certified Scrum Product Owner certification is an asset
Other Requirements/Assets:
Advanced capability in Microsoft Office 365
