Overview

IDC is seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to support our expanding Tech Buyer product lines. As a Product Manager, you will collaborate with various functions, including research/product, sales, marketing, and global senior management, to identify, validate, and document customer and market needs. You are responsible for delivering products and services that exceed customer and market expectations. This role also requires a strong focus on process and project management and involves working collaboratively to bridge product expectations to successful business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Keeping up-to-date with market and customer trends to inform the product portfolio. Developing a deep understanding of client challenges and expectations and applying them to product rationalization and new product development needs
  • Deploying an analytical mindset to tackle complex business challenges and opportunities. You will learn the business, synthesize, analyze, and integrate information and data to inform decision making to ensure desired business outcomes are achieved
  • Developing and execute against product roadmaps
  • Collaborating and communicating effectively with other functions to create alignment between product, business, and other stakeholders
  • Engaging in development of GTM strategies including partnering with marketing and sales to support product launches and drive product adoption
  • Establishing governance and process to enable global execution of new and existing product portfolio
  • Evaluating product performance and leading on product enhancements and optimizations to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent experience (substitutions may be made for a combination of program management experience and other relevant education/work experience)
  • 3-5 years of product management experience with a track record of success in owning and driving key product initiatives
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Ability to prioritize daily work while keeping business and strategic goals in mind, with strong follow-through, resourcefulness, and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story. Comfortable with presentations and communication to executives.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Some travel may be required
  • This role can be based in IDC\'s Toronto, Canada office or remote Ontario
