As the Product Manager, B2B, we seek an individual with a deep understanding of the B2B platforms and digital solutions and a proven track record in delivering successful B2B products. In this role, you would define and lead the product vision and strategy for Staples B2B platforms. This individual will act as a SME in their assigned area of work and drive the business impact by improving complex processes, leading cross-functional initiatives and providing the best product practices. This individual will lead the charge on prioritizing and balancing the business goals while delivering the best-in-class omni-channel customer experience. Responsibilities include defining the product strategic direction for the next 2-3 years, conducting discovery through primary and secondary research, prioritizing initiatives, and driving product adoption amongst B2B customers.


This individual would partner with our team of engineers, UX designers, customer researchers, content strategists, data analysts, technology vendor partners and the key decision-makers across the organization to lead the execution of all product initiatives for their domain. We seek a strong candidate with considerable experience in product management principles capable of driving innovative features and delivering high-complexity, ambiguous projects that meet Staples customer needs.







Specifically, You Will:



Oversee a set of complex B2B products and define the holistic vision aligned with Staples overall strategic vision. Build a data-driven roadmap with product initiatives that contribute to Staples business objectives by building strong hypotheses anchored in credible business cases. Identify the B2B personas for your product offering and build a future-state journey map that can help inform the product backlog. Conduct regular discovery sessions with the sales and customer success teams to identify the opportunities and pain points including customer interviews and competitor research. Effectively manage the end-to-end product lifecycle through decommissioning, consolidation, pricing, and other approaches with the focus on delivering the business objectives. Lead the implementation of the initiatives working closely with the business partners, sales, and marketing, UX, engineering, analytics and ensure that the delivery is on-time and on-budget. Partner with the product sales and marketing teams on positioning, messaging, customer communications and launches. Define product KPIs to measure the success of product launches, key features adoption, outline the lessons learnt and build an iterative roadmap. Lead and drive vendor engagements, build vs. buy decisions for any new B2B platforms. Conduct industry research and drive the perspective on pricing, packaging and the GTM strategy for the subscription based B2B offerings. Write and prioritize initiatives, epics, user stories by evaluating value, feasibility, usability, security risks and the implementation effort. Manage cross-functional relationships, communication, and negotiation by gathering feedback and driving alignment across stakeholder groups. Provide routine and transparent product updates to executive level stakeholders via formal presentations and written communication. Stay informed of industry trends and best practices for current products to shape how to go about meeting business needs while performing research and providing recommendations for enhancements to current suite of products. Adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

Some of what you need:



Bachelor's degree in technology or related field preferred; MBA is an asset. 3+ years of experience in B2B/SaaS Product Management. 7+ years of total work experience. 2+ years of experience at an eCommerce company. Experience with both Agile and Scrum delivery practices. Demonstrated success in working within cross-functional teams and effective project management and analytical/decision-making skills. Proficiency in B2B products and their go-to-market strategy. Strong analytical, data-driven decision making and problem-solving skills. Ability to navigate large organizations and develop strong stakeholder relationships. Outstanding influencing, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging feedback and innovation. Self-starter, high-energy, with ability to execute on business objectives. Hands on experience with product discovery and lifecycle management.
