The Role:

Plusgrade is searching for a seasoned, strategic Product Manager to join our growing team. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be at the epicenter of our product evolution, owning the generation, development, and curation of new product ideas, and bringing these to market among our growing community of travel partners. The ideal candidate is a creative self-starter, who takes ownership, moves fast and holds themselves accountable for delivering great products and user experiences. You can operate at any level - in the weeds or presenting to a leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Guiding Light: Develop, maintain and deliver on an innovative product roadmap that defines a pathway to our company goals. Make strong product and prioritisation recommendations in support of our goals.
  • Innovator: Champion ideas from inception through concept validation, define what good looks like, and lead the idea through delivery.
  • Detail Oriented: Specify the requirements for new features and enhancements to Plusgrade\xe2\x80\x99s passenger and partner facing products, and Plusgrade\xe2\x80\x99s internal program management tools.
  • Product Ambassador: Work with our commercial teams and partners to solve product needs, optimize product usage and bring new programs to market. Be a trusted advisor of our product capabilities.
  • Grit and Determination: Drive relentlessly towards our product goals. Use creative and innovative problem-solving skills to unblock challenges. Accept responsibility for the success of the product. Be firm on the vision.
  • Pulse of the market: Conduct extensive research to understand customer needs and current market solutions . Collaborate with our travel industry partners and \xe2\x80\x9cPartner Success\xe2\x80\x9d managers to tap into our product opportunities - via a combination of calls, online meetings, and onsite visits.
  • Phenomenal communicator: Prepare crisp product related documents that are easily understood by technical and non-technical folks, including business requirements, process flows, and product overviews. Build and present compelling business cases detailing new product opportunities.
  • Pace-setter: Lead by example, and influence those around you. Collaborate with and support your product team colleagues. Manage a small team of Product Owners and/or Analysts under your product vertical. Inspire and excite our teams and partners about our product.
  • Data Driven: Understand our key performance metrics and lead the delivery of improvements targeted at error reduction, delivery efficiency and revenue growth. Proactively explore data to identify opportunities. Shape our business intelligence tools and data visualization. Measure success. Rinse and repeat.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in a similar product role, plus a degree in a relevant field
  • Experience working with email marketing, lead generation, mobile apps, revenue management and/ or API integrations valuable
  • Very strong communication skills in English - written, verbal and a knack for building relationships
  • Experience writing business requirements and defining acceptance criteria, and prioritizing engineering efforts based on multiple inputs
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies, Kanban a plus
  • Experience preparing easy to read and visually pleasing documentation, presentations and product overviews
  • Data driven, familiarity with data visualization tools and the structures behind them
  • Experience working with clients
  • Knowledge or familiarity with Excel, SQL, HTML, CSS, XML, JIRA and/or Splunk
  • A passion for or experience working in the airline or travel industry is a plus!
  • Requires the ability to travel globally
