The Product Manager at Imaginary Spaces is responsible for developing and managing successful software products (SAAS) or services that meet customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs, achieve business objectives, and drive growth and profitability. This role can be remote, hybrid or based in Montreal, Canada. This position will report to our Director of Product & Operations. Responsibilities of Product Manager
  • Execute Product Direction and Development: Partner with the engineering and development team to execute and develop the right product for our customers based on the product roadmap. Manage scope and timelines, accounting for changes and priorities coming from our service offering. Remain flexible and help strategize our R&D efforts based on customer needs. You will be involved in the whole development lifecycle, from ideation, to launch, to continuous improvement. You will be focused on software, but need to understand and make decisions based on the bigger picture.
  • Own Sprint Planning and Scope: Assist the development team in planning and creating sprint schedules, setting actionable goals and developing success metrics. You will act as the Scrum Master by being responsible for running the Agile process. You will also help communicate the technical complexity, timelines, and business value of software-related products to engineers and stakeholders. You will be able to make trade-offs to maximize value along the way. Oversee product development day-to-day.
  • Own Product Backlog and Support: As the Product Manager, you will refine and prioritize the backlog in collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders. Also you will own the support and triage the issues coming from external users by prioritizing bugs and updating the backlog.
  • Product Production Life-Cycle: From discoveries, user story creation to A/B testing to product roll-out strategy and training with users, you will participate and assist with the planning of all phases of the product development life cycle.
  • Project Management and Deliveries: As the product R&D is closely related to service offering, you will help manage the external client projects by creating schedules/sprints, breakdown the work order into deliverables and ensuring the project\xe2\x80\x99s deliveries are completed on time and on budget. You will oversee the budget and ensure the projects on track with remaining hours and client billing.
  • Monitor Product Performance: The Product Manager monitors product performance and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • User and Client Management: Maintain a user/client relationship to ensure customer satisfaction. Provide project updates, share progress reports, resolve issues and client queries in a timely manner.
  • Risk Assessment: Aligning expectations with contract scope, raising red flags for potential risks, escalating blockers. Anticipate implementation challenges with each and every proposal.
  • OKRs and KPIs: Understand the business logic and company\xe2\x80\x99s KPIs when prioritizing tasks.


Qualifications
  • A bachelor\'s degree in computer science or engineering or Product Management or any relevant experience.
  • Must have previous experience, 3+ years in product management or in a similar domain.
  • Delivered 1 product from start to finish.
  • Good technical and product knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Agile, Waterfall and 3D software such as Maya, Unreal, Houdini, etc.
