Job Summary


The Equinix Data Center Services Product Management team is looking for an experienced Product Manager who will manage a portfolio of Power and Sustainability Reporting product enhancements to meet the demand of existing and targeted customers. This position is responsible for developing strategies and activities to establish and enhance product placement, pricing, delivery, and support to grow Equinix\'s Data Center Services business, enabling the scaling of Interconnection and the Internet infrastructure worldwide.

The Product Manager must be an effective leader and communicator and will work cross-functionally with Equinix\'s sustainability program office, operations, engineering, marketing, customers, and more. They will conceive, propose, and position new ideas, strategies, and concepts, guide those projects to completion, and take full ownership and responsibility for successful delivery. You will be expected to use your analytical and creative skills in this role. You must be able to work at the strategic level, generating ideas for growth, and at the tactical level, including analyzing product performance and solving problems.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in product management, data center infrastructure, and the Internet. Responsibilities


  • Be the company domain expert for specific Data Center Services products, including areas of Sustainability metrics reporting
  • Develop, manage, and execute product strategy, including a roadmap. creating a shared vision and clear goals for the product line
  • Develop business cases, financial models, product requirements, data sheets, and other product-related materials
  • Define metrics that will be used to inform product success and help drive user experience improvements
  • Work with product development teams, sustainability program office, data center operations, and engineering to execute changes
  • Manage and influence cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities while balancing the strategic direction setting, go-to-market timelines, and effective expectation setting
  • Analyze and optimize value chain activities; establish and monitor KPIs; implement course corrections as needed
  • Work with reporting/analytics teams to define meaningful metrics for gaining insights into user behavior and business impact
  • Track revenues and profitability of products. Identify trends based on data and act as necessary
  • Provide direction, consultation, and training to Equinix teams on the product line

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years professional experience in a role combining business and technology products and services, with at least 3+ years\' experience in Product Management
  • 3 or more years\' experience in global telco, data center, or energy sector is highly preferred
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, science or business-related field of study required. Master\'s degree is a plus
  • Experience in productizing Data Sets across IoT platforms, developing SaaS and API platform offerings
  • Experience using analytics, user research, and other approaches to make decisions and iterate on the product
  • Understanding of sustainability reporting, including green power, renewable energy factor, carbon usage effectiveness, energy reuse factor, and water utilization, is highly preferred
  • Experienced presenter to internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience managing and working with a global team, which encompasses working in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Americas time zones
  • Must be comfortable collaborating with engineering to solve problems
  • Willingness to travel on occasion across regions (~10%)
