Job Overview
This position is part of the Digital Media department, which oversees Radio-Canada's flagship digital products, including RC OHdio, the leading French-language audio destination.
In partnership with the Audio & Radio division, the person in this role plays a key role in shaping the vision for RC OHdio's evolution. They leverage a deep understanding of digital, user behaviours, market trends, and technology to inform strategic thinking and guide product direction.
They lead the product's evolution -- from discovery to delivery -- balancing user needs with business objectives. They work to enhance the overall experience (listening, discoverability, personalization, interaction, etc.) and drive innovation to retain current audiences and attract new ones. They also ensure the continuous evolution of tools and solutions that support editorial team operations.
They collaborate with product managers to coordinate the work carried out by the product team. They maintain strong ties with the content, marketing, communications, and revenue teams to ensure strategic and operational alignment.
This role also aims to create synergies across products to strengthen engagement within Radio-Canada's broader digital ecosystem. The individual actively contributes to the organization's digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
Product Vision and StrategyContribute to the vision and strategic direction of OHdio by bringing a digital perspective informed by data, user insights, and market and technology trends.
Define and evolve the product roadmap in alignment with established priorities.
Establish key objectives and performance indicators for the product, aligned with Radio-Canada's overarching goals.
Lead strategic analyses and develop recommendations to guide decision-making for RC OHdio and the broader digital ecosystem.
Product DiscoveryLead the discovery phase by mobilizing various internal experts and collaborators.
Assess deliverables and make informed decisions: when to deepen or halt exploration, and when to move toward delivery.
Promote continuous innovation focused on relevance and impact.
Encourage, structure, and systematize discovery practices within the team and among key collaborators.
Product DeliverySupport product managers -- and more broadly, the product team -- in executing the roadmap, acting as a facilitator and steward of strategic alignment.
Help remove blockers and reprioritize when needed, fostering a culture of collaboration and agility.
Contribute to the quality and value of deliverables produced by the team.
Team Leadership and Product GovernanceManage product managers, supporting their professional growth and development.
Take part in structuring and managing the product team, including capacity planning and resource allocation aligned with strategic priorities.
Clearly communicate priorities, strategies, and progress to internal teams, partners, collaborators, and stakeholders.
Act as a reference point for resolving prioritization conflicts, making structured and informed trade-offs.
Proactively manage product-related risks by anticipating and mitigating potential issues.
QualificationsStrategic, unifying, and collaborative leadership.
Excellent communication skills and strong ability to influence.
Analytical mindset, systems thinking, and sound strategic judgment.
Ability to rally a multidisciplinary team around a shared vision.
Experience in digital strategy with strong user experience and data analysis skills (8 to 10 years).
Solid command of discovery and product delivery practices.
Experience managing a product team or in a related field (at least 5 years).
Experience in digital audio products or related media products.
Relevant university degree (business, technology, or related discipline).
Excellent command of French (written and spoken), proficiency in English is an asset.
