As a mechanical engineering intern, you will be working in our company's engineering department. Under the supervision of the Director of Product Engineering, you will participate in various design and product development projects.
List of daily tasks:
Design 3D mechanical parts and assemblies on Solidworks.
Draw 2D parts and assemblies on Solidworks.
Support the various project managers in their product development mandates.
Independently complete 1 to 3 product development or improvement projects.
Actively support engineering change projects and perform 2D and 3D modifications.
Participate in brainstorming sessions.
Evaluate the cost of the selected design solutions.
Plan and execute destructive and non-destructive mechanical tests and write test reports according to best practices.
Maintain the department's technical documentation.
Review the design of parts according to quality and/or cost reduction criteria.
Take measurements on existing parts to ensure repeatability and quality control.
Perform tolerancing of mechanical parts and assemblies.
Validate technical data from dimensional analyses.
Supervise in-plant execution of project-related work.
Requirements
Bachelor's student in mechanical engineering.
Be available full-time for an internship in fall 2025 (September to December).
Fluency in French and functional English.
Attention to detail.
Thoroughness.
Creative spirit.
Good communication skills.
Knowledge of Solidworks software.
Knowledge of AutoCAD software.
