In Lac-Superieur, Quebec, we focus on premium flower and traditional hash production. Our Winnipeg, Manitoba site is a highly automated facility dedicated to edibles & beverage manufacturing. Our Aylmer, Ontario facility specializes in the production of infused pre-rolls and features automated vape filling capabilities.

We are currently seeking a Product Developer II. The Product Developer II reports to the Director of New Product Development & Innovation and is responsible for developing products from concept to final application for both domestic and international markets with a priority focus in pre-rolls, whole and milled flower, vapes and concentrates as well as secondary focus on exploring other emerging cannabis product categories. The incumbent will be accountable for product development, product lifecycle management, experimental design, and general method development for the purpose of furthering R&D efforts. The Product Developer II will also have leadership or mentoring responsibilities and deeper technical expertise compared to Product Developer I.



Responsibilities:



Lead the discovery and development of initial research on product opportunities, translating ideas into product development plans. Understand technical points to be considered during product development and product lifecycle. Design validation, operational validation, and problem-solving to bring products to commercialization stage. Conduct experimental design and execution of lab scale, pilot developmental batches to support final formulation and processes. Formulate laboratory testing batches to support product development, regulatory submissions, and analytical testing as well as sensory assessment. Develop research scale formulations and upscale manufacturing processes. Evaluate and select active, inactive raw materials, and packaging components for various products. Identify and understand IP. Work with Marketing, Procurement and Packaging to guide packaging requirements. Collaborate with Operations to understand scalability and manufacturability of new packaging concepts. Conduct market research on current innovations in the industry. Understanding of the Canadian Cannabis Act as well as International regulations in priority markets

Qualifications:



Post Secondary Education in Product Development, Marketing or equivalent. 5-7 years of product/project management experience, delivering on large scale and cross-functional programs in support of business goals. Experience developing new products in highly regulated markets. Proven capability to drive results and/or organizational change through others. Team orientation and willingness to roll up sleeves to solve complex, dynamic challenges. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to support assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Demonstrated capability as a team player with strong interpersonal skills. Customer service attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
