Job Description

Responsibilities




Design Leadership




Lead the design of user interfaces by applying the fundamental principles of user experience, visual design, and accessibility. Articulate and present visual design concepts, interaction flows, and design rationale to cross-functional stakeholders. Create and maintain component-based design systems using Storybook, ensuring consistent application of design tokens, accessibility standards, and visual guidelines. Partner with front-end developers to integrate and document reusable UI components within Storybook, ensuring design-to-code parity. Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to validate design decisions and improve user satisfaction. Lead internal design sessions for planning, review, and critique activities to ensure design excellence.

Collaboration and Communication




Work closely with Product Managers, engineering, and customer facing teams to design an intuitive user experience for end users. Use Jira to manage design tasks, document deliverables, track progress, and summarize stakeholder feedback. Present design concepts to internal and external stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and iterate based on product and user insights.

Design Process




Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, storyboards, user flows, and other design artifacts to effectively communicate interaction and visual intent. Hands on Knowledge of design thinking process is a bonus. Develop Figma prototypes that align with design system standards for consistent handoff to engineering teams. Build and document interactive component behavior in Storybook, including states, variants, and accessibility annotations. Ensure that industry best practices in UX/UI are followed and continuously improved. Contribute to the ongoing refinement of RamSoft's design workflow and design system governance.

User Experience




Deliver seamless and natural user experiences across all RamSoft products and platforms, including cloud-based and desktop environments. Conduct or participate in user research and usability testing to validate design decisions. Collaborate with Customer Experience and Product teams to translate customer feedback into actionable UX improvements.

Design Documentation




Maintain internal documentation and component libraries within Storybook for both design and development reference. Create internal product design documentation to support marketing, training, and implementation teams.

Additional Responsibilities




Participate in team meetings, providing design insights, updates, and improvement recommendations. Perform other related duties as required.

Experience




Required5 - 8 years: 3+ years of professional experience in Product or UI/UX Design (healthcare SaaS or enterprise software experience preferred). Demonstrated expertise in Storybook for component documentation, visual testing, and design-to-code collaboration (required). Proficient in Figma, AI productivity tools, and other design tools. Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, React, and JavaScript fundamentals to facilitate collaboration with front-end engineers. * 5 - 8 years: Knowledge of healthcare environments, DICOM viewers, or healthcare IT software is an asset. High level of written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly. Proven ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Enthusiastic attitude, strong work ethic, and demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines.
