Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada's largest Asian supermarket chain with 31 stores across the country: 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 10 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company's continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.



The Role: Reporting to the Produce Department Head (or his/her delegate), the Produce Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Department Head and Assistant Department Head in providing guidance, supervision and sets as a good example for Produce Assistants to follow.



Major Responsibilities: Conduct quality control during receiving; manage inventory and product quality; follow FIFO concept; ensure full display of various produce products Provide guidance and supervision to Produce Assistants; Assist Department Head to train department staff Follow procedures to process expired products and manage shrinkage Prepare various produce for sales activities, include but not limited to Sort, cut, wash, weigh, pack and label various produce products and display them in the display cases Greet customers by providing good customer service with smile, friendly enthusiasm Assist customers in selecting produce products and provide recommendations to them, as required Handle customers' complaints, build rapport with our customers by providing good smile, eye contact and attention to them Lead by example by performing duties of Department Supervisor as required Familiar with the location of various produce items; keep self-updated with all in Produce Department promotion activities

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays Have a good understanding of tools & equipment's relevant to the job and know how to interpret labels of merchandises Be prepared to stand long time and to hands on dealing with products and lifting of products of 40 pounds on a regular basis Be prepared to work in low temperature (0-4 ?) environment regularly Possess basic computer skills in MS Office Not allergic in handling produce products Proficient in English, ability to communicate in Chinese (Cantonese &/or Mandarin) is preferred Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety
