Fairway Market -

is a locally owned and operated grocery chain on Vancouver Island. Fairway Market's has 9 grocery stores and has been serving Vancouver Island for over 60 years.

Position Summary -

We are looking for a focused and dynamic team players to fill several openings in our departments. Fairway Market is looking for someone who is pro active with innovative new ideas to develop a successful department for the company.

General:

Observe all store rules and Company Policies.

Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress code.

Follow approved procedures for receiving, code dating, trimming, storing, price marking, and restocking products to ensure quality protection, accuracy and product rotation.

Be knowledgeable in and able to differentiate between all of the various types of produce merchandise including taste, preparation method or use, and price differences between varieties of similar classes of products (e.g. different types of apples, potatoes, etc.).

Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods.

Comply fully with all Safety Policies and Procedures.

Perform other duties and assignments as directed.

Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and highly friendly, courteous service or assistance.

Finer department details and job responsibilities to be trained.

Wage is dependent on experience and negotiable.

*Location: Nanaimo BC

Full time - Produce (able to work flexible hours, days and one weekend day)

Looking for punctual, honest, hardworking people - training provided for each position.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour
