Produce Clerk
Job Description
Merchandise product on the sales floor and assemble promotional displays
Assist customers in locating items and providing information on produce items
Ensure that old or expired produce is removed and discarded
Unload produce trucks and break down pallets to organize produce within the produce cooler and dry storage area
Maintain a clean work area by frequently sweeping produce department and clean up customer spills by moping and sanitizing, as well as, take out daily garbage and recycle cardboard
Identify workplace hazards and take corrective measures to ensure a safe working environment
Adhere to health and safety standards required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Serve the customer to the utmost satisfaction
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
Requires standing and walking for long periods of times
Physically demanding in regards to heavy lifting and repetitive movements
Required to work in a refrigerated environment at times
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.60 per hour
Work Location: In person
