Job Summary

A Procurement Specialist at Conviron will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, and support long-term business goals. The Procurement Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify sourcing opportunities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Develop and implement category sourcing strategies across key spend areas Conduct market analysis and supplier benchmarking to identify sourcing opportunities Lead RFPs, RFQs, and contract negotiations with suppliers Evaluate supplier performance and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly Identify and mitigate supply chain risks Track and report on sourcing initiatives, savings, and performance metrics Support sustainability and diversity goals in the supply base

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills Proficiency in sourcing tools and ERP systems (e.g., Epicor) Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities SCMP, or equivalent certification, is an asset
